Hash-Brown Casserole

2 pounds frozen hash-brown potatoes,
thawed, or 10 cups shredded potatoes
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup melted margarine
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons diced onions
2 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Combine ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into a 2-1/2-quart casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
